A cheap fix for cold, single-glazed windows.
Condensation forms on glass that's colder than the room. This clear film fits over the inside of the window frame and traps a layer of still air, which keeps the inner surface warmer, so less water forms on it. It also cuts draughts.
Fitting
- Stick the double-sided tape around the window frame.
- Press the film onto the tape, slightly loose.
- Warm it with a hairdryer until it tightens and goes clear.
Removes cleanly in spring. Ideal for rented homes and older sash windows.

Condensation is water from the air settling on cold surfaces like windows and outside walls. Rising or penetrating damp comes from the building itself and needs a surveyor or builder. The kit is designed for condensation.
